Solar system 'WayStation2 (WHC422)' comprises the star 'WayStation2' and the retinue of celestial objects gravitationally bound to it: 13 planets and their 817 moons, as well as asteroids, meteoroids, planetoids, comets, and interplanetary dust.

The principal component of this star system is the star 'WayStation2', a red dwarf class star that contains about 98.58% of the system's known mass and dominates it gravitationally. WayStation2 is located more than 2252 lightyears from the center of the galaxy.

WHC422.3, the third planet in this system, may feature life forms. Its average temperature is 270K (-3C) and it's atmosphere contains 33% of oxygen. One year on WHC422.3 lasts 551 days, one day lasts 23 hours. It's diameter is 9958 km, 0.7 times the diameter of the Earth.

WayStation2 acts as a stopping point on the trade route between WHE210, controlled by the K'Asth, and WHA501, controlled by the Aetians. It also helps to define the boundary between their territories. As such both governments maintain a military presence here, ostensibly as a policing force watching over the trade routes, though the K'Asth force also acts as a deterrent against invasion by the Aetians. Staffed by 200 thousand Aetians, 50 thousand Tahn, and 150 thousand Kseth.

While the route to Dehnel WHA492 looks favorable, the Aetians frown upon any direct flights to their homeworld and respond to incursions with (excessive) force.

WHC422.2 is a very large terrestrial planet (11308 km radius) which orbits its star in 295 Earth days, one day on WHC422.2 lasts 14 Earth hours. Its average temperature is 414 K (141 C), its atmosphere mainly consists of nitrogen, carbon dioxide and it has 17 moons.
WHC422.3 is a small terrestrial planet (4979 km radius) which orbits its star in 551 Earth days, one day on WHC422.3 lasts 23 Earth hours. Its average temperature is 270 K (-3 C), its atmosphere mainly consists of nitrogen, oxygen and it has 1 moons.
