Planet Cilaparea in system Konguderynia (NAH818)

    NAH8182   NAH8183

The planet Cilaperea has existed for approximately 4 billion years. In this time it has grown from a barren world of volcanoes and acidic skys to a lush tropical world of jungles, forests and shallow seas. The planet consists of one super continent taking up approximately 20% of the planet. The native lifeforms appear to breath in Carbon Dioxide as opposed to Oxygen.

Life on Cilaperea has not developed past the stage of birds, however many forms of Arthropods have developed to much greater levels than earth, and the number of reptile species rival that of those during the Mesozoic era on Earth. It has had 9 mass extinction events, and is currently in the process of another.
This planet shares the majority of its space between three races with human level intelligence. The Qu-epyensa (pronounced Kep-tin-sa), a humanoid wasp like species which control 10% of the land, the Cilapareak (pronounced Sigh-lap-air-eek), who the plane is named after, large intelligent lizards who control around 45% of the land, and the Konguderyn (pronounced Kong-ru-dare-in), large spiders with sharp spines extending like wings from their sides; when these "wings" are covered in silk, it allows them to glide for long periods of time, they control 45% of the land. Other Species on the planet include:
Acid Bugs; large beetles which spray chemicals on prey and attackers, Whipin; large pythons which can stretch to twice their length, and Territes; small sparrow sized birds which act like locusts, eating all organic matter in their path.

This planet appears to be in a state of cooling. The sea levels are lowering and the minimal oxygen levels are also lowering. The large number of large arthropods is also on the decrease. Many of the forests are shrinking in size, and large prairies are taking their place.

Triad Beliefs:
The triad (the three species with human intelligence)each have their own (main) systems of belief. (In triad society all-powerful beings must have their names spelt entirely in capital letters, for example GRAP-NA KRAIN)

Qu-epyensa: The Qu-epyn worship a large collection of gods, but specifically the king of gods, GRAPN-TA RACKNAL a large being resembling a squid, a very rare species on the planet, they believe peace and goodwill will result in a higher state of being, bringing them to paradise. (In the past, under the worship of GREP-NA KRAIN, they believed that brutal deaths would bring paradise) They have a Constitutional monarchy system of government where a queen acts as a figurehead, (The queen resembles that of a large quenn bee or ant, with a large maggot like body with a wasp like head, she lays 20% of the eggs) but a prime minister is elected head of government.

Cilapareak: The Cilapar worship a collective of spirits known as THE GRUVAERIRSTIN ONE. They believe that one will enter paradise after death if they lead a life of joy, with repect to one another and the past. (Recent changes has made this now, "respect to all life and the past") They have a mixture of a meritocracy and a democracy where officials are elected and the prime minister, or "The Cilap", is the one who completes a massive race over land and sea, finishing in the capital. This race has resulted in the deaths of thousands of Cilapar, but they continue to do it out of their respect to their ancestors.

Konguderyn: The Kongrudar mainly worship a great being known as TELLA-NAYT MARE, a large being resembling a kingfisher with 4 wings and spikes along its back. They believe worship of her will result in good fortune, prosperity and peace. They also believe that only the acceptance of science and spirit's (Triad word to explain magic, gods, etc.) will allow races to achieve peace. It is believed by them that one will only achieve paradise in death if they make a great discovery about themselves, the world, or the universe. For this reason many go on spiritual vision quests of over 5 years, once or twice in their lives. They have a constitutional government.

Triad Lifespans:
Qu-epyensa live for approximately 45-50 years in healthy conditions
Cilapareak live to around 120 years of age on average but some can live longer, with 180 years being the age of the oldest one of their kind.
Konguderyn live for approximately

Triad History:

Early ages:
The triad have existed for almost 200 000 years. At approximately 150 000 years ago the Cilapareak and the Konguderyn met for the first time. Both races nearly destroyed each other, as each found the other to be a suitable source of prey, if not a challenging one. At approximately 130 000 years ago the Konguderyn created language, followed by the Cilapareak 5000 years later and the Qu-epyensa 10 000 years after that. At this point the spolf species population dramatically increased. The spolf are a hyper-evolved spider species, unable to spin silk, but have sharp jaws. The resemble hairless wolfs with a black exoskeleton and 10 eyes. The spolf were powefull predators, consuming species much larger than themselves. This increase in numbers, combined with their powerful sence of smell and speed, allowed them to hunt the Konguderyn to near extinction. Strangely enough, the spolf species soon developed a large increase in cancers afterwords. (Some Cilapareak scientists believe that Konguderyn carrie chemicals in their bodies that build up in other species resulting in diseases. This combined with the spolfs habit of ALWAYS eating their dead, may have resulted in this increase in cancer)Within the next 2000 years the spolf species went extinct. Approximately 250 years later the triad discovered fire.

Age of the Flame:
After the discovery of fire, the triad began to discover more of it's uses. Its use in the battlefield was discovered first. For this reason, much of the history from this time is unknown and 20% of all life on the planet died out. Some Qu-epyensa archaeologists believe they have recentlly discovered a large temple dedicated to GREP-NA KRAIN from this period.
