Personally I align myself to Guillermo Gonzalez of the University of Washington. He said, "...as a design advocate, it is not such a secret, as my writing on the design issue is rather public and widely distributed. I recently received a grant from the John Templeton Foundation to study habitability from a design perspective...But, i certainly will not apologize for admitting that my theistic theological views motivate my science and vice-versa." - Excerpt from David Darling's book "Life Everywhere: The Maverick Science of Astrobiology".

I believe that God is in fact real, along with his son Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior (though many claim he is not). I also agree that there is life in the Universe other than human beings. But the key to my thought is that humans are the ONLY Intelligent lifeforms, and it is our destiny as a race, and a species to spread intelligence. I also believe that is plausible that human beings have already been spread through out space, but this is just a theory of mine: In the Bible it says in Genesis that God separated humans after they built the Tower of Babel (they were trying to reach the heavens), and when God separated humans he didn't just separate them across the Earth, but through the stars.

Of course this is all my own opinion.

Separating Humans throughout space at the Tower of Babel

Interesting theory about God separating humans not only throughout the world at the Tower of Babel, but the universe. Personally, I feel He built this earth for whole race of earthlings, as this world is tailor made for our spiritual and developmental needs. Having said that, I also believe that He has populated the universe and other universes with humans not unlike us everywhere we could possibly imagine and not just here on Earth. JMO, @inkdipped
