seems fine. Bit far from the Empire, but that would just make things better in the view of the commanders relative. Plus, if the leader conquers it and puts a voidgate up, it is directly connected to no real worries.

certainly. In this thread, or over PM?

Either. PM might be better in order to prevent spoilers from affecting other users enjoyment of the story once its done, I guess. I'm glad to see you've got your sides motivation all sorted out. You have a knack at coming up with interesting alien motivations.

considering these are members of a culture which has spent the last 400 years in a continuous state of war, then its not surprising that they like to go conquistadoring.

Hmmm, not sure if the PMs allow convos of more than two people, so if Dragonspice still wishes to join in at some point, it would complicate the conversations. Probably best to start over the PMs now though, then send him anything if he decides to join us at a later date. I actually think an alien FTL species on the fringes would be interesting, though they would get blocked by Westwind. 'cus Westwind dont like anyone else trading in their personal fishing pond.

Indeed. A nice little complicated (yet limited) war would be just what the doctor ordered right now.

If it's not convenient at this time I can wait for the next round and watch how you two do it.

Apologizes for my sudden absence these past few days.

So, after working on my coursework for a few days, i discover that my fingers and wrist are beginning to have a worrying ache. Nothing which is too worrying or painful, and might be because i havent typed on this computer in a while, but since i have something like 5 coursework's, all of which are programming based, to be done and in over the next 5-6 weeks, starting in about a week and a half, i dont want to be taking any chances where my hands are concerned.

Which brings me onto my next point. I had hoped to get a good chunk of the story started and done this week at the least, but since my fingers were hurting i havent gotten around to writing anything yet. I miscalculated the time needed to figure out the basic plotlines, since this is the first time i have worked on a project where we dont just make it up as we go along. The reason i was hoping to get a good chunk done this week was because next week, starting wednesday, im back to uni, which means my free time goes from lots to nil, if im to get the coursework done as well.

Now, while i knew the deadlines for the courseworks were coming up, i had not looked in depth at how much was needed for each of them. Fun of fun things, two of them were not handed out that long ago, giving very little time to do them in and have thus been barely started. With everything else, they look like they are going to be... interesting to get done in time.

Essentially, i dont really have the time to devote to a project of the size this one has grown to be, much as i might wish to. I'm fine if you guys want to go and work on it yourselves, but i'm afraid i'm going to have put this on hold for the next 5-6 weeks at the least.

I apologize for this.
