The principal components of this star system are the stars 'TEG288.A' and 'TEG288.B' that dominate it gravitationally. 'TEG288.A' is a red giant class star that contains about 82% of the system's known mass, 'TEG288.B' is a red giant class star that contains about 17% of the system's known mass.

System 'TEG288' is located more than 1550 lightyears from the center of the galaxy.

TEG288.1 is a medium terrestrial planet (5881 km radius) which orbits its star in 232 Earth days, one day on TEG288.1 lasts 9 Earth hours. Its average temperature is 1453 K (1180 C), its atmosphere mainly consists of nitrogen, oxygen and it has 6 moons.
