Solar system 'Alatariel (MDG870)' is a dual star system that comprises the stars 'Alatariel.A' and 'Alatariel.B' and the retinue of celestial objects gravitationally bound to them: 12 planets and their 902 moons, as well as asteroids, meteoroids, planetoids, comets, and interplanetary dust.

The principal components of this star system are the stars 'Alatariel.A' and 'Alatariel.B' that dominate it gravitationally. 'Alatariel.A' is a yellow dwarf class star that contains about 99% of the system's known mass, 'Alatariel.B' is a brown dwarf class star that contains about 0% of the system's known mass.

System 'Alatariel' is located more than 1790 lightyears from the center of the galaxy.

This solar system comprises 12 planets

Cirdan is a very large terrestrial planet (10168 km radius) which orbits its star in 50 Earth days, one day on Cirdan lasts 14 Earth hours. Its average temperature is 1065 K (792 C), its atmosphere mainly consists of nitrogen, oxygen and it has 14 moons.

Legend has it that more natural fission events have taken place here than anywhere else (ever documented, that is) but the reason for this is not known.

Idril is a very large terrestrial planet (11021 km radius) which orbits its star in 217 Earth days, one day on Idril lasts 14 Earth hours. Its average temperature is 1228 K (955 C), its atmosphere mainly consists of nitrogen, oxygen and it has 24 moons.

Idril was once a target of colonization by the people of Schongauer in the solar system Quentin. However, while testing the habitability under domes, those tests proved it would be impossible.

Luthien is a very large terrestrial planet (9742 km radius) which orbits its star in 706 Earth days, one day on Luthien lasts 14 Earth hours. Its average temperature is 765 K (492 C), its atmosphere mainly consists of nitrogen, oxygen and it has 30 moons.

Eaman is a very large terrestrial planet (11128 km radius) which orbits its star in 1298 Earth days, one day on Eaman lasts 14 Earth hours. Its average temperature is 453 K (180 C), its atmosphere mainly consists of nitrogen, oxygen and it has 18 moons.

Basically a steam cooker, this world may have bacterial life near poles - tests are inconclusive

Orophin is a medium gas giant (39006 km radius) which orbits its star in 56098 Earth days, one day on Orophin lasts 12 Earth hours. Its average temperature is 1443 K (1170 C), its atmosphere mainly consists of hydrogen, helium and it has 117 moons.
Leshil is a large gas giant (58069 km radius) which orbits its star in 105975 Earth days, one day on Leshil lasts 12 Earth hours. Its average temperature is 1214 K (941 C), its atmosphere mainly consists of hydrogen, helium and it has 90 moons.

Ireth is a large gas giant (41894 km radius) which orbits its star in 194689 Earth days, one day on Ireth lasts 12 Earth hours. Its average temperature is 1391 K (1118 C), its atmosphere mainly consists of hydrogen, helium and it has 111 moons.

Findecano is a large gas giant (47523 km radius) which orbits its star in 357667 Earth days, one day on Findecano lasts 12 Earth hours. Its average temperature is 1047 K (774 C), its atmosphere mainly consists of hydrogen and it has 120 moons.

Elwe is a large gas giant (71130 km radius) which orbits its star in 657077 Earth days, one day on Elwe lasts 12 Earth hours. Its average temperature is 1860 K (1587 C), its atmosphere mainly consists of hydrogen and it has 133 moons.

Anewaiman is a large gas giant (68553 km radius) which orbits its star in 1207129 Earth days, one day on Anewaiman lasts 12 Earth hours. Its average temperature is 1967 K (1694 C), its atmosphere mainly consists of hydrogen and it has 117 moons.

Mahtan is a medium gas giant (33997 km radius) which orbits its star in 2217637 Earth days, one day on Mahtan lasts 12 Earth hours. Its average temperature is 1010 K (737 C), its atmosphere mainly consists of hydrogen, helium and it has 90 moons.

Artanis is a large terrestrial planet (8058 km radius) which orbits its star in 2915160 Earth days, one day on Artanis lasts 15 Earth hours. Its average temperature is 1370 K (1097 C), its atmosphere mainly consists of and it has 38 moons.
