The principal components of this star system are the stars 'MKH028.A' and 'MKH028.B' that dominate it gravitationally. 'MKH028.A' is a red supergiant class star that contains about 93% of the system's known mass, 'MKH028.B' is a red giant class star that contains about 6% of the system's known mass.

System 'MKH028' is located more than 2170 lightyears from the center of the galaxy.

MKH028.1 is a medium terrestrial planet (5355 km radius) which orbits its star in 101 Earth days, one day on MKH028.1 lasts 10 Earth hours. Its average temperature is 1602 K (1329 C), its atmosphere mainly consists of nitrogen and it has 2 moons.
