Solar system 'Babyred (NJH143)' comprises the star 'Babyred' and the retinue of celestial objects gravitationally bound to it: 11 planets and their 611 moons, as well as asteroids, meteoroids, planetoids, comets, and interplanetary dust.

The principal component of this star system is the star 'Babyred', a red giant class star that contains about 99.98% of the system's known mass and dominates it gravitationally. Babyred is located more than 2398 lightyears from the center of the galaxy.

This slowly expanding star has the distinction of being known as the "Brains of the Galaxy," as its planets and moons are bases for universities, academies, schools and research facilities that serve most advanced lifeforms. While all knowledge is shared among them, the unlimited requirements and daily needs for individual species has resulted in thousands of individual institutions. Ballish's moon, Ivesquire, is home to the headquarters of GASSSE (Galaxiki Associate Society of Solar Studies & Exploration), the definitive authority on the Starpatch Collective.
