The principal components of this star system are the stars 'RAG261.A' and 'RAG261.B' that dominate it gravitationally. 'RAG261.A' is a yellow giant class star that contains about 96% of the system's known mass, 'RAG261.B' is a neutron star class star that contains about 3% of the system's known mass.

System 'RAG261' is located more than 3311 lightyears from the center of the galaxy.
