Minspecs have setup a small operations base here.

A minspec is a trans-dimensional creature resembling a very small bug. Their shape and number of limbs depends on the individual. They are extremely adept at FTL travel and have a massive amount of weaponry firepower at their disposal. Planet destruction could be accomplished with only a few ships working together. This is because the minspecs draw on trans-dimensional energy using their own special technology.

Death for a minspec is not permanent, it only results in the death of their body in this dimension. To recover, they simply have to recreate their body again, though it takes a bit of energy and time.

The base they have setup here is fairly large and extensive. It is about 50 meters by 30 meters and some buildings are up to 2 meters tall. A large space port takes up about 10 square meters in one corner and can handle up to 150 of the minspec’s largest ships.

The entire base is impervious to energy attacks as the shielding just drains the excess energy trans-dimensionally. While the base is susceptible to physical attacks, getting proper aim on the base is difficult from orbit because of its very small size.
