Byion

"The Cold Yards", former Ganite shipwright installations. During the Dacor attack, this planet was a secondary target, allowing the bulk of the newly minted ships to engage the enemy. In the heat of combat, WASP fighters were being rolled off assembly lines, directly into combat above the planet.

Byion was Ganiach's first off world colony. Centuries of construction and engineering have rendered the "sister planet" into a cold world of subterranean cities, and massive surface installations. Byion's moons have also been utilized as shipyards, laboratories etc. Originally named Forsun after an ancient demi-god, the planet's current moniker is Ganite slang for "The Cold Yards", as in shipyards.

Once the Dacor attack was repulsed, most of the Cold Yard Installations had been destroyed with the exception of the fuel centers near the southern pole. Today the Fuel Depot shelters a large band of engineers, technicians and some military personnel. They have managed to rebuild a large portion of Byonnon's infrastructure. They are led by Captain Hune Doriag (formerly of GIS).
