Galaxiki is a fictional online galaxy created, maintained and owned by its Community. Users can edit stars, planets and moons, or get their own personal solar systems.

Galaxiki is a social web 2.0 website for creative people interested in science fiction, fantasy, astronomy, physics and science in general.
It's a virtual galaxy with millions stars, planets and moons that can be edited in a wiki-like manner. You can write your own stories in your solar system and / or visit other users solar systems and read their stories.

Solar systems and stories are located in one single galaxy, which represents a complete science fiction online world created and maintained by its community. You can explore the galaxy using our cool 2D browser.
Each star and each planets has its own page displaying all relevant information as well as real-time 2D and 3D planetary orbits.
You can rate solar systems and leave comments. You may also give awards to other users to reward them for their work.
The galaxy includes all kinds of stars, double star systems as well as black holes, neutron stars & pulsars, all of them being editable.
Joining Galaxiki only takes a few moments. Right after signing up you can start naming and editing community solar systems, to make friends or to communicate with other users. Galaxiki membership and editing community solar systems is completely free.
You can get your own solar system so that only you will be able to name or edit its star, planets and moons by making a small donation. You can freely choose the amount you'd like to donate, starting at $1, and your solar system will belong to you forever.
Galaxiki is a non-profit project, it's financed through donations and advertising.
Galaxiki was created in 2006. A test release of the site was put online in March 2007 and it was officially launched on July 1st 2007.
Galaxiki 2.0 was launched in October 2010, turning the community site into a real social network.
Galaxiki 2.5 was launched in July 2011, offering more than 100 updates and new features.
